Bitcoin Mole Miners Genesis Collection - Details on Art Project & Metadata
To honor the creator of Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto, this pixel art project contains a total number of 19 NFT’s.
On January 3, 2009 (1/'9), the Bitcoin network came into existence when Satoshi Nakamoto mined the Genesis block.
The coinbase parameter contained, along with the normal data, the following text: ‘The Times 03/Jan/2009 Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks’.
Bitcoin Mole Miners is a generative art project that came to life due to a strong passion for NFT’s, pixel art and blockchain technology.
It’s an ode to all the supporters and (early) miners that helped grow the blockchain network, community and industry to where it is today.
With 11 layers of handmade pixel drawings, all containing numerous properties & traits per level, each final generated NFT is 100% unique.
There are 84,391,372,800 possible outcomes in total, but only 19 NFT's are part of the Bitcoin Mole Miners Genesis Collection.
This collection contains Ordinals Inscriptions, which are inscripted and minted directly on the Bitcoin Blockchain within the first few weeks since launch.
All 19 Bitcoin Mole Miners are inscripted below the 125,000 inscriptions mark. Bitcoin Mole Miner 01 is sub 116,000.

What are Bitcoin Mole Miners?
Mole Miners are hungry for Bitcoin and treasure!
Day and night, across five planets and natural objects (Earth, Moon, Venus, Mars, Uranus), they loot, explore and mine for rare items.
All the while dangerous creatures are constantly threatening the Mole Miners on their adventurous journey.
They are designed by hand. Drawn pixel by pixel, with a love for pixel art.
While exploring the worlds, they can be happy, sad, crazy, possessed, hypnotized, arrogant & more.
They have a feeling for fashion and wear different heads.
Tools help them to mine, or fight off 'freaks of nature' and other dangers.
Properties
Bitcoin Mole Miners use up to 19 different tools to explore worlds containing 59 different visible objects, life sources, hidden gems and freaks of nature!
Mole miners have blue, green, grey, lavender, pine, pink, purple, red and yellow colored body types and wear up to 20 different types of heads.
Last but not least they have 48 different facial expressions: 28 different types of eyes and 20 different types of mouths.
In total there are 164 different properties spread over 11 layers that generate the final image. There are 84,391,372,800 possible outcomes.
All properties have different rarity scores. Displayed in percentages. A lower percentage means the property is less likely to be generated, and therefore visible, in the final image.
For example:
Level 5: Head wear: Bandana | Rarity score: 5.0%
Level 5: Head wear: Wizard | Rarity score: 1,0%
or:
Level 6: Mouth: Lipstick | Rarity score: 5,5%
Level 6: Mouth: Bloodthirsty | Rarity score: 1,5%
or:
Level 11: Tools: Pitchfork | Rarity score: 5,5%
Level 11: Tools: Hand puppet | Rarity score: 2,0%
Besides rarity scores, the final image also has scores for 4 Attributes. Attributes are numerical traits that show a score for the final image by adding up the points given to certain properties per layer.
The 4 attributes are:
Exploration
A positive score tells you how easy it is for the mole miner to explore one of the planets or natural objects (Earth, Moon, Venus, Mars or Uranus).
E.g. a Pickaxe (Level 11: Tools) and a Special cigar (Level 6: Mouth) increase the final score for Exploration. The NFT with both Pickaxe and Special cigar will have an Exploration score of: 6 + 5 = +11
Treasure hunting
A positive score tells you how good the mole miner is in treasure hunting. You get points for characteristics and tools that help you find treasures and for actual treasures visible in the final image.
E.g. a Pickaxe (Level 11: Tools) and Treasure chest (Level 8: Hidden gems and freaks of nature right) increase the final score for Treasure hunting. The NFT with both properties will have a Treasure hunting score of: 5 + 6 = +11
Strength
A positive score tells you how strong your mole miner is. This comes in handy to fight of creatures and other types of danger.
E.g. Angry (Level 2: Eyes) and Dagger (Level 11: Tools) increase the final score for Strength. The NFT with both properties will have a Strength score of: 5 + 4 = +9
Dangerousness
A positive score tells you how dangerous the situation is for your mole miner. Dangerousness can increase due to the difference between day and night, or e.g. due to monsters and creatures.
E.g. Night (Level 4: Time of day) and Love potion (Level 7: Hidden gems and freaks of nature left) increase the final score for Dangerousness. The NFT with both properties will have a Dangerousness score of: 7 + 5 = +12
