A doctor lived in a small town with a population of a thousand people.
The doctor was a genius in the field of science and medicine, who began his experiments in his youth. He was convinced that with the help of his experiments he would be able to find a way to prolong life and rid people of diseases. At the time of his study, he created a symbiote that was supposed to improve the genetic parameters of living beings, improving their physiological parameters, but mostly it was intelligence.
The doctor had a son. He was paralyzed. The doctor trying his best for him - he wanted his son to start living a full life. But before helping him, the doctor wanted to make sure of his abilities, and began to conduct experiments on living beings.
Experiment #1 - The Doctor conducted it over a mouse, he injected her with a drug, having previously broken her paws - and after a while she recovered, as if nothing had been broken.
The Doctor conducted experiment # 2 on the turtle - everything went as usual, he broke her shell, injected the drug, and the turtle recovered in a very short time.
The Doctor conducted Experiment #3 on a blind cat, injected her with a drug - and she regained her eyesight.
The Doctor conducted Experiment #4 on a crow that was born without wings, injected her with a drug - but only one wing grew. The doctor was confused by this, and he continued the experiments.
Experiment #5 - The Doctor decided that it was necessary to test the drug not only on living beings. He took a rotten apple from the table, injected the drug into it - and it regained its original, fresh appearance, but quickly withered.
The Doctor conducted Experiment #6 on a circus snake - it had no fangs.
The doctor injected the drug and they got out. But, the snake couldn't release venom from them.
The Doctor conducted experiment # 7 on a sick and old horse - he injected her with a drug, the indicators improved, but after that the horse died quickly.
The Doctor conducted Experiment # 8 on a sick pig, injected her with a drug, and watched her the longest - the experiment was very successful.

The doctor ventured to conduct the ninth experiment on his paralyzed son
At first everything was fine, the experiment went on as usual and there were no accidents. After a while, his son began to feel his legs. It was a breakthrough.
His mental abilities have improved, his immune system has grown and he has become a full-fledged person.
Day after day, his condition improved - the doctor watched it, and was certainly happy.
After a while, the doctor began to notice that his son stopped being like himself, his behavior, manners, thinking changed, and memory problems appeared.
The doctor decided to place his son in an isolated cell for quarantine. He tried to figure out what was going on, taking blood tests from his son, he did not see anything “unusual".
One day, at night, while the doctor was sleeping, nothing foreshadowed trouble.
The Doctor had a nightmare, but it turned out that it wasn't a nightmare - everything was real.
He woke up from the heart-rending screams, jumped out of bed and ran towards the screams - they came from the cell where his son was.
After seeing the horrifying picture of his son lying in convulsions, writhing like a snake, screaming in pain, he found himself in a daze, not knowing what to do at that moment.
Out of desperation, he decided to open the camera and go inside to his son, after which the son stopped moving and showed signs of life. Bending down to check his son's breathing, the son abruptly grabbed his father, and the doctor saw an incomprehensible substance coming out of his mouth, nose and eyes. It was a symbiote. The son held the doctor so tightly that he could not move, and the symbiote was getting closer and closer, and the doctor could not do anything about it, he realized that he had made a mistake. Frozen with horror, the doctor watched as the symbiote penetrated him, and lost consciousness from this.
When the doctor woke up, he didn't understand anything, as if nothing had happened. It's like amnesia. His dead son was lying next to him - and in his memories there are only fragments of how he opened the camera. And nothing else.
After a while, the doctor stopped experimenting, unaware that the symbiote was approaching his consciousness and gradually turning into a parasite.
The parasite, having gained full control over the doctor, began to use him for its own purposes to distribute the drug (to its own kind) and capture all living things.
The parasite nicknamed himself AGoodDoctor - and under this pseudonym he went to the square, where he gathered many people with a statement that he was looking for volunteers to test this drug, promising them that they would be cured of diseases, become stronger, smarter, more resilient and prolong their lives.
Luring unsuspecting victims to his laboratory, AGoodDoctor began to conduct tests on them to create a perfect creature.
After a while, people who took the drug at one point under the control of the parasite came to his laboratory themselves, where he, realizing that they were under his control, gave them a contract, signing which they sold him their soul.
The parasite began to crossbreed their DNA with living beings and inanimate objects, creating an army of creatures similar to each other, but each with its own separate qualities.
AGoodDoctor isolated three of his parasites, which he left in human form.
Their mission was to distribute the drug to the local population of the town.
After a while, the whole town absorbed this drug.
Someone couldn't stand its side effects, and died. Those who survived were waiting in the wings.
Eventually, one night, those who survived came to the AGoodDoctor laboratory and suffered the effect of the drug.
Everyone got their contract - they gave their soul to the doctor.
As a result, AGoodDoctor was able to create an entire army of creatures, the number of which was 420.
420 unique creatures.
